Record warmth hit the Capital City today; tomorrow a winter storm moves in.

Saturday morning an area of low pressure will develop over northeastern Colorado. As our low-pressure system pushes southeast, this will aid the development of moderate to heavy snow showers. This will kick off Saturday night then later end Sunday evening.

Tomorrow highs in the low 40’s, with some off and on sunshine.

Saturday night our winter storm moves in with a bang, anytime between 10pm to Midnight. Snow falls overnight and nearly all day Sunday.

Generally 3-6” inches of snow proximate to the Colorado and Wyoming state border. However, a little more expected east and north of Cheyenne, about 4-8” inches possible.

Expect winds to pick up Sunday afternoon, which can knock visibility down significantly in spots, below a quarter of a mile for some.

Stay tuned on KGWN as we track the winter storm.
