CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now)- Best Western Plus Frontier Inn (BWPFI) in Cheyenne donated hygiene items and snacks to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Foundation. BWPFI launched the Front Line Heroes Program, which recognizes and looks to assist essential workers risking their lives during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"This is very important for us as a hotel and as a company as community members to be able to help our community members," General Manager of BWPFI, Shannon McSweeny said.

BWPFI in Cheyenne gave their employees a bonus stimulus check to support local small businesses. Employees are encouraged to send a picture to management showing themselves supporting local small businesses. BWPFI looks to help stimulate the economy, as well as give their employees another excuse to leave the house while supporting local businesses that may have been affected from the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Just another thing to help the small business owners," McSweeny said. "While we've already recognized the essential employees we're not going to reach out to the rest of the community and the small businesses to kind of help and thank them for all their troubles through these dark times."

Employees of BWPFI will receive an additional cash bonus. The hotel encourages the use of the additional bonus to help local businesses as well.
