CHEYENNE, Wyo.- The B.E.A.S.T. Foundation hosts hour of coding event for elementary school students. Code.org, Microsoft, and other companies are
helping to bring teaching about coding into schools.

Wyoming State Superintendent, Jillian Balow recognizes the importance of young students learning how to code.

"Coding gives them an opportunity to also solve problems, and create new things with technology. Which is really what the jobs of tomorrow are going to demand," Balow says.

Wyoming is one of the first states to have coding taught as a curriculum in elementary schools.
