Alcova Resort open for the 2020 season
With Memorial Day and summer kicking off, the Alcova marina and restaurant are open for the 2020 to rent a boat or get a quick bite to eat.
"We just opened up last weekend on Friday and business has been pretty good so far despite the COVID-19 epidemic. People want to get out of the house, they want to get out to the lake and I think Alcova gives them that opportunity so it is a good resource to get outside and enjoy some fresh air," said General Manager at Alcova Resort Russell Mason.
People looking to get out on the water can rent fishing, pontoon and even paddle boats.
"We got half day rentals and full day rentals they start at 7 a.m. and go to noon, or 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., or 7 a.m. to 6 p.m for the full day, we are open seven days a week, we got four pontoon boats available, two ski boats and some fishing boats and yeah we are 100% open for business in all facets of the business," said Mason.
To rent a boat no boaters licenses is needed just a driver's license or photo ID.
"Kids under 12 need life jackets, if you don't have your own we can supply them for you, we got all the safety equipment on board the boats, just show up with your food and friends and we'll take care of the rest," said Mason.
Mason says if you haven't been to Alcova before, it is worth making the trip.
"It's definitely worth taking the trip out to Alcova if you have never been before, I mean the canyon alone is definitely worth seeing and the fact that the lake is right here at everyones finger tips so," said Mason.
