Albany County Tornado Rated EF-1

The National Weather Service traveled to Albany County today to conduct a damage assessment of the Tornado that touched down near Bosler along Highway 30 early Saturday Evening. After surveying the damage and talking to eye witnesses, the National Weather Service has concluded that the Tornado was an EF-1 on the Enhanced Fujita Scale with winds of 100 MPH and maximum width of 500 yards.

The Tornado initially touched down at approximately 6:10 PM Saturday in an open field two and a half miles west-southwest of Bosler. The Tornado then lifted before touching back down and completely destroying a Pole Barn three miles south-southeast of Bosler. The Tornado then crossed Highway 30 before dissipating completely. No injuries were reported.
