At about 6:50 in the morning on Monday November 20, a tractor-trailer caught fire, on eastbound I-80 at mile marker 396.

His back brakes locked up creating sparks ultimately catching the rig on fire. The driver was able to disconnect the trailer from the front cab, so there was no damage to his semi. The sparks cause a small grass fire on the side of the interstate.

Fire crews were able to put the fire out and no one was injured, however crews were still on scene at 8:30 Monday morning.
