55th Wyoming traffic fatality of 2019 recorded

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, on May 5th 33-year-old Jackson, Wyoming resident Avery L. Rogers was driving his Subaru Outback westbound on US 26 north of Jackson when he lost control and rolled the vehicle.

Rogers was wearing his seat belt, but died at the scene of the crash.

The Highway Patrol reports driver inattention and alcohol use are being investigated as possible contributing factors.

This is the 55th fatality on Wyoming’s roadways in 2019 compared to 27 in 2018, 34 in 2017, and 16 in 2016 to date.
