CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now)- The South high school football team has a handful of seniors on the team this season. With this week being the first week of 4A football practice, the older guys on the team are teaching the younger guys the Bison way. The Bison way is always putting your team first. Senior Joseph Hanson says "were trying a lot of things players are playing different positions that they look better at and as a team were just trying to get more wins instead of more losses." Head Coach Dan Gallas is very pleased with what he has been seeing during the first week of practice. Coach Gallas says "giving a great physical effort were spending a lot of time on the mental things doing are best to get them in a position where they don't have to think while their playing they just play and they react." The Bison only won two of their games last season and they are hoping to turn things around this season. Senior Cari Wright says "everybody coming out with a harder mentality the mindset of winning just getting better out here to be honest."
The first game of the season for South will be away versus Natrona County on August 30th.
