26th annual Stamp Out Hunger

CHEYENNE, Wyo - You have either already received a blue bag in your mail box or it's coming Wednesday, May 9. The United Way of Laramie County and the United States Postal Service have partnered together to help stock local food pantries.

This is important because, after the holidays many people don't donate, leaving shelves empty. Right now Needs Inc. is one of those pantries with empty shelves. Everything that is collected will go to Needs, Comea, Safehouse, St Josephs, Salvation Army, and St Christopher’s.

How you can help is fill that blue bag with non-perishable items and leave it at your mail box for the mail carrier to pick up. If you happen to be out and about grocery shopping or running errands, you can drop off donations at the post office or at Albertsons or Kingsoopers on Yellowstone between noon and 5pm.

United Way still needs volunteers to help pack the food if you are wanting to volunteer you can email Amber Still at amber@unitedwayoflaramiecounty.org.
