Police Department host 11th Neighborhood Night Out

Picture the scene, law enforcement, and residents share stories and break bread as the collectives attempt to bridge the gap between the residents and the first responders who protect and serve.

The 2020 Neighborhood Night out made its annual appearance in Cheyenne despite the virus spread. With the recent acts of brutality at the hands of police. A glaring fracture leaves a black eye on the relations. Cheyenne PD gave families tours of the DUI Task Unit truck.

City Councilman candidate Cameron Karajanis organized the downtown block party, and this is how he believes events like the Neighborhood Night Out impacts the community.

“I think it’s a huge need to get to know your officers, getting to know your detectives, and even the chief Kozak is here. You also get to meet the officers that control your area. You get to see those officers and talk with them.”

Cheyenne Fire Rescue believed showing unity and support for the cause, conveys to the mass that agencies in town stand as one.
