Fort Caspar Museum and the Historic Trails Center are collaborating for a once a month history class via Zoom.

Patricia Ruppert, a Fort Caspar Educator, said they are making the class interactive by providing a box of items to go along with the lesson. This month they are talking about American tall tales like Johnny Appleseed and Calamity Jane.

“I think the sock puppets will be fun. I think the kids will enjoy the materials,” Ruppert said.

The first 25 local families who sign up for the class get the box. Ruppert added they deliver them without any contact. If the items are taken, people can still sign up for the class.

She added part of the fun is learning something new.

“When you’re first starting it’s not the smoothest. I still think it’s fun and maybe that makes it more fun when you’re not perfect,” Ruppert said.
