Aaron Lowery

Morning Meteorologist

Aaron Lowery joined the Wyoming News Now Weather team in June of 2019.

A man of the south, Aaron was born and raised in Atlanta Georgia, where he lived until he graduated high school. He attended college at Mississippi State University, where he majored in Professional Meteorology with an emphasis on broadcasting.

While in school, Aaron helped with building and giving weather forecasts for Starkville, Mississippi and the surrounding areas. His favorite types of weather events are winter storms and severe weather such as tornadoes and extreme lightning.

Aaron first became interested in weather in a near miss tornado event when he was 3 years old, and that interest was further strengthened when Hurricane Ivan spun up several tornadoes in 2004. In fourth grade, he was the weather anchor for the school news team.

His passion for weather grew once more in the tornado super outbreak in April of 2011 across the southeast. In April of 2019, he lived through a tornado event that tore right through parts of Mississippi State's Campus!

Aside from weather, Aaron has a huge passion for sports, and is a die hard Atlanta Braves, Boston Red Sox, and Indianapolis Colts fan. He claims, "There are few things better than an evening at the ballpark".
He has been to several Braves games while growing up in Atlanta, as well as several baseball games at MSU's famous Dudy Noble Field.

Aaron likes to spend time outdoors, and his favorite season is fall. He also loves to listen to music, with his favorite genres being 70's rock and Southern Rock.
