Morgan Lamb joined the KGWN NewsChannel5 team in December of 2018 as a multimedia journalist and weekend weather anchor.
An Iowa native, Morgan has spent her entire life in the Midwest where she earned her degree in Communications with an emphasis in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Before realizing her passion for journalism and transferring to UMKC, Morgan began her college career at the University of Kansas (Rock Chalk Jayhawk!). She was hired by Johnson County Community College's newspaper as an editor, winning an award from Kansas Collegiate Media for sports news writing. She was also hired as an emcee for the college and was their first female sports show host.
As an intern for 610 Sports Radio, Morgan spent the past few baseball seasons at the Kansas City Royals ballpark for live pre-game broadcasts and was hired by the station part-time after her internship ended. She also interned at KMBC Channel 9 News in Kansas City as the reporting intern. She spent each day out in the field with reporters covering a wide range of stories and breaking news from homicides and fires to the indictment and resignation of former Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens.
Morgan was a Big Sister for over a year with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City and is looking forward to volunteering and getting involved in the Cheyenne community.
In her spare time, Morgan loves being outdoors, playing with her two pups, reading, and laughing with her friends and family. She is thrilled to call Cheyenne her new home and if you see her out and about, please say hello!
Feel free to reach out to her on Twitter and Facebook or, if you have a story idea please contact her at Morgan.Lamb@kgwn.tv
