Sunday afternoon we saw plenty of isolated showers and scattered storms around the state which were relatively brief but still held a presence throughout Wyoming. The good news is, as we head into tonight, along with temperatures dropping we will also begin to see those rain showers and storm chances diminish. Leaving the nighttime being optimal conditions for our Fireworks festivities.

For the rest of the evening, isolated showers and thunderstorms will remain in the state but look to die out and move on into the early evening hours. Some of these storms could be severe and have a possibility of having moderate to heavy rainfall, large hail and strong severe winds. This will lead to clearing of the night sky in Wyoming and some cooler temperatures but they will remain into the 60s and upper 50s throughout the state. The stationary frontal boundary is acting as a catalyst for theses storms to pop up, however, they are short lived. Throughout the night, expect it to be more quiet especially as winds look to remain on the lighter side throughout the night.

Executive director - Brenda Birkle of My Front Door mentioned “Today, we concentrated on workforce and economic development, and, how the lack of affordable housing really plays a role into those.” Birkle told Wyoming News Now, that wages are not properly aligned with the rise in housing costs. They discussed that strategies need to be implemented in order to bridge that gap and give the people in the community the opportunity to becoming home owners. She added, “Those wages keep pace with the market and closely align those two. If they are too far apart like what we are seeing now, that leads crisis much like what we are dealing with currently. So, we need to develop strategies and ways to be smart in how we can bring wages and the market closer in alignment.
