John Habershaw

John is originally from Rhode Island, having spent the majority of his life living in the smallest state in the country.

He graduated from Northern Vermont University with a bachelors degree in broadcasting and journalism and is passionate about reporting. His prior experience was with News 7 in Vermont which is a student-run newscast that broadcasted to fourteen different towns surrounding the campus. There he was an anchor, producer, and reporter for three years.

John has experience in sports reporting, having worked at a sports network in Vermont/New Hampshire called Northeast Sports Network, which is an affiliate with ESPN+. He found himself in Wyoming, working for KCWY to continue to work on his reporting skills, and to one day pursue his dream of becoming a professional sports broadcaster.

John is a diehard Boston Celtics fan and New England sports fan in general and believes that Tom Brady is in fact the GOAT. When he isn't at work he enjoys fishing, playing basketball, and watching his favorite teams (Celtics, Patriots, Redsox, and Bruins) play. He is excited for the opportunity to work within the Wyoming community, and to become apart of the team here at KCWY-Wyoming News Now.
