CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Izzy delay is leaving Cheyenne central with a lot to be proud of.

She is a four time All-State selection and left last week’s state meet the champion in the one hundred meter breast stroke.

DeLay told Wyoming News Now Sports that the state championship title is just the icing on the cake of a successful career. The all state selections meant the most.

But, it is the impression she left on her team that will be remembered for years to come.

“That was definitely a really big part to me,” DeLay said. “Leaving a good impression on all those girls and having them look up to me, and having something they want ot work for. Kind of having those same goals I did was really big for me.”

Izzy will be swimming at the next level, she has verbally committed to Grand Valley State University in Michigan

“It means a lot to me, definitely something I’ve wanted my entire life. It’s nice I’m getting an opprotunity to do that. I wan to think all my friends and family. Especially Coach Josh, he helped me through everything and my family. I switched schools and that was one of the best decisons I’ve ever made,” DeLay said.
