CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Casper police responded to an incident at the East side Walmart on Monday afternoon after several calls reporting a disturbance according to a press release.

Witnesses report seeing a man elbow an elderly employee in the face and striking another after attempting to walk out of the store with electronics. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found two ‘Good Samaritans’ restraining the suspect outside of the store. Jeffery Garner (56) was arrested at the scene on multiple charges as well as on an outstanding warrant.

Both victims received medical attention, with one being transported to Banner Wyoming Medical Center. The Casper Police Department thanks citizens who assisted at the scene for their vigilance.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
