Casper Oktoberfest partners with Make-A-Wish Wyoming to help make dreams come true

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Saturday was the long-awaited Oktoberfest event in casper.

Oktoberfest consisted of what you might have expected... bar hopping and sampling local brews. However, there is something that makes this Oktoberfest celebration unique. Casper Oktoberfest partners with Make-A-Wish Wyoming to make one child in Wyoming’s dream come true. At the end of the event, 10-year-old Casper resident Ashlinn was granted her wish of visiting Disney World for her birthday, which happens to fall on Halloween. In addition to her being presented with a giant ticket to Disney World, she was also surprised with a performance with the witches from the Disney film, Hocus Pocus.

As the owner of Kalen Marketing Solutions, Katrina Beckman plays an instrumental role in coordinating Casper Oktoberfest. She says that seeing the impact that granting a wish has on a child in need makes all the effort worth it. “At the end of the day it’s just so exciting to grant that wish, and that’s what really brings the event together. It’s been a really great year… We had wonderful breweries come from all around the state and I just couldn’t be happier about our event this year,” she says.
