Beautiful Weather but Warm

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - It might be fall but, at least during the day, it sure does not feel like it. During the overnight, on the other hand, it will be chilly. Temperatures for tonight are expected to fall into the 30s and 40s across the state. Closer to freezing into the mountains. If you are headed out tonight or tomorrow morning, you might need to pull out the jacket.

As we head into Monday, we start warming up. Most areas will see highs from the 70s to the low 80s across the area. These temperatures are considered above normal for this time of year. Temperatures in the mountains will warm into the 60s.

Biggest question is, why are we going to warm up? We will have warm air that will be moving in as a result of southerly and southwesterly winds. This will bring that warm air up into the Rockies. With a wind shift, we will see temperatures fall into next weekend.

Extended Forecast for Cheyenne - We will continue to see beautiful weather through the work week, with plenty of sunshine expected. We could see a stray shower or storm into the weekend. Temperatures will gradually warm up into the 80s, before we see temperatures falling into the 70s and even into the 60s.

Extended Forecast for Casper - We will continue to see beautiful weather through the work week, with plenty of sunshine expected. We could see a slight chance of a shower or storm into the weekend. We will see temperatures warming into the 80s, with a downward trend by the end of the week and into the weekend.
