Department of Workforce Services to offer grants to students pursuing careers in the healthcare field
The WyHealthTrain grant gives students an opportunity to study healthcare without the high cost

CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services has created a new scholarship fund to support students pursuing careers in the healthcare field.
The WyHealthTrain grant covers the cost for students to complete a healthcare program within a two year timeframe. Students have the option to attend their choice of Wyoming community colleges or the University of Wyoming. This scholarship aims to encourage students to pursue healthcare degrees, which is a highly desirable field in Wyoming.
Shaye Moon is the business training and support unit program manager for the Department of Workforce Services. She says, “We also hope that people who are receiving those certifications and degrees, we hope that they choose to stay in Wyoming to live and work. I think that’s always a goal that we have in general. We have a need here in Wyoming and that is something we hope to see.”
Applications for the WyHealthTrain grant will be open in the next couple weeks. For more information on eligibility or applying, click here.
