CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - A Casper Re-Entry Center escapee has been arrested in Gering, Nebraska last night, says Natrona County Sheriff’s Office, Public Information Officer, Kiera Grogan.

Grogan told Wyoming News Now, that investigators received multiple tips from Crime Stoppers of Central Wyoming of 30-year old Austen Bagners’ whereabouts, and contacted Gering PD. The police were able to locate him and Bagner was then arrested without incident.

Bagner was wanted for “Felony Escape from Official Detention” after he checked out of Casper Re-Entry Center on September 14th, telling the staff there that he was going to be seeking employment. Upon failing to return he was then reported as an escapee by the C.R.C. staff. Bagner was originally sentenced to C.R.C. for a probation revocation on an original charge of felony possession of a controlled substance.

Bagner is expected to be returning to Casper.
