CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Cheyenne residents can bring their furry friends to Freedom’s Edge Brewing Company from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
There will be a costume contest, specialty brewed beer, and food trucks. There will also be the annual “Running of the Wieners” which is a series of wiener dog races.
For 25 dollars dachshund owners can register their dogs in the race, and there will be one race for non dachshund mixes. All proceeds from race entry will go towards the Cheyenne Animal Shelter.
“It really is focused on little dachshunds, and we do the annual running of the wieners. We have a pet costume parade, and its just a really fun family oriented and pet friendly event,” said Niki Harrison the Director of Annual Campaign and Branding for the Cheyenne Animal Shelter.
