CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The absentee ballots can be requested from the City of Cheyenne’s Office of the City Clerk.

The special election is to reauthorize a special assessment of 20 Mills within the Downtown Development Authority District for the next four years. Mill Levy funds are used for the improvement of downtown.

The general election will happen on October 18th in the lobby of the Cheyenne Depot.

All commercial and nonresidential property owners in the Downtown Development Authority District are able to vote in this election.

“It’s basically our blueprint for the next 10 to 20 years of how everybody wants downtown to look, and that includes the public, the property owners, as well as the business owners,” said Thom Gabrukiewicz, the Downtown Development Authority Administrator.
