CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -The Wyoming State Geological Survey is celebrating earth science week by providing 50 complimentary toolkits to science classrooms across the state.

The toolkits include educational material from various organizations including the U.S. Geological Survey, the U.S. Forest Service, NASA, and more.

The materials include activities about soils, fossils, geographic maps, earthquakes and more earth science related topics.

“Earth sciences touch our everyday lives and earth science week is an opportunity to celebrate the earth sciences, to raise awareness about earth sciences in both society and education, and its an opportunity to gain understanding, and to celebrate and appreciate the earth sciences,” said Christina George, Outreach and Publications for Wyoming State Geological Survey.
