Meals on Wheels of Cheyenne to host annual Hike for Hunger Event

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Members at the organization encourage people to sign up by Friday September, 15th.

Registration will be available day of, but there will be no guarantee of a shirt and meal. This outdoor event includes two guided hikes through Medicine Bow National Forest, live music, and many more fun activities.

“It’s just a time for us to address the food insecurity issues that we have, and point the community members to the direction of where to go get help,” said Rhianna Brand, the Events and Program Coordinator for Meals on Wheels of Cheyenne.

Meals on Wheels of Cheyenne staff said that they hope to raise awareness of hunger and food insecurity in Wyoming through this event, and be able to provide help and resources for those in need.
