CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - If visiting Greece has always been on your bucket list, this weekend, Greece comes to you.

The Cheyenne Greek Festival will kick off Friday from 4-10 p.m. and continues Saturday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m. at the Frontier Park Exhibition Hall.

Visitors can expect to be teleported to the Mediterranean as they’re met with a wide range of sights to see and foods to eat.

Greek dance performances, handcrafted jewelry and art, and live music will be just a sample of what guests can expect. Perhaps the highlight of the event: the food.

Nearly two dozen authentic Greek food options will be available from kalamari and gyros to souvlaki and chocolate flogera.

Plenty of other hard-to-pronounce delicacies will be offered as well including baklava, galaktoboureko, spanakopita, and many others.

This weekend marks the Greek Festival’s 36th appearance in Cheyenne.
