CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - A new volunteer orientation will be held on Tuesday, September 26th.
People can choose to attend the noon orientation or the 5:30 p.m. orientation that day. The orientation will teach participants how to become a voice for children in the foster care system.
CASA stands for court appointed special advocated, and people who attend this training will learn how to be that for children in need.
“if you’re even a little bit thinking about it come to the orientation. I think you would be really surprised a lot of people don’t realize that with 5 to 10 hours a month, you can make a massive impact for a child,” said Sarah Urbanek, the Executive Director of CASA of Laramie County.
Urbanek said that they are always looking for more volunteers to go through these trainings to become a court appointed special advocate
