CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - It’s another week of Cowboy Football and they’re coming into this one 2-0 but boy do they have their work cut out for them. Wyoming is going up against one of the most recognizable brands in all of football and playing at one of the biggest stadiums in college football, the #4 ranked Texas Longhorns.

“They’ve got great speed, they matched up with Bama, ran step for step with them,” Head Coach, Craig Bohl, said. “I think we all know what kind of team they have to go into Tuscaloosa and win the way they did. So, a really impressive team. I think they deserve to be in the conversation of the national championship. We’ll get their best shot I’m sure and they’re going to get out best shot.”

“They’ve got a shiny ranking label on them but I don’t that really matters,” Kicker, John Hoyland, said. “It’s kind of just a faceless opponent that you kind of see lining up across from you. As long as you do your job then everything kind of goes your way and if we just take care of the details then I think we can go in there and have a good time.”

Despite all of the excitement and fanfare, this game just means a little bit more. This Wyoming team is full of a lot of Texas guys, so, it has a deeper meaning.

“I’m a Texas player but I’m going against them so I just can’t wait,” Running back, Harrison Waylee, said. “Just the thought of it is killing me right now. I want to go out there and just kill it.”

“It’s going to be really cool, my family, we are Aggies,” Salado, TX native and Nickleback, Wrook Brown , said. “So, I’ve never really liked UT. We’re excited to go play there. I’m going to have a lot of people at the game and that’ll be the biggest crowd we will play in front of all year. There will be a lot of people there. It’s a good chance for us to go and have a good game.”

In order to have a chance against such a high caliber team like The Longhorns, the Cowboys are going to have to lean on their weapons. One of them is going to be making his debut, running back Harrison Waylee, and the other you can call one the best kickers in college football.

“I’m siked. I’m just ready to play. Sitting down missing the two games, the first game which is a really big game, it killed me inside. But, I love watching my guys play. I’m revving to go.”

“We try to go into every game and gain our edge. So, our special teams, if we can beat their special teams then that makes all the difference. Having an edge on all three facets of the game, that’s ultra important to having success down the line.”

It all starts at 6 P.M. this Saturday on The Longhorn Network.
