CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The Chamber believes that it takes too long to acquire permits to build in America, and that there is an urgent need to update the outdated permitting process in the country.

There will be a meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 13th at 9:00 a.m. The U.S Chamber of Commerce, Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce, and Montana Chamber of Commerce will all come together to discuss pushing congress to pass federal permitting reform efforts.

“If we can’t get the project completed, or the project drags, it really makes it hard, and currently going through environmental processes like NEPA seems to take forever,” said Dale Steenbergen, the President of the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce.

This is all part of the U.S Chamber’s “Permit America to Build” initiative.
