“For the Love of the Arts” Auction and Gala - Surbrugg Prentice Auditorium, Laramie County Community College, Cheyenne
Friday 6-9 p.m.
Class up your Friday night by heading to LCCC’s art gala to celebrate all the creative and artistic things happening at the college. The night includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, a wine & beer bar and live jazz from The Thistle Tones. The musical group will perform romantic jazz standards so guests can dance the night away under the stars or simply sit back, relax and enjoy the music. The Cowboys look to capitalize off a monumental win against Texas Tech when they take on Portland State Saturday afternoon. The Vikings fell to Oregon in their season opener in a lopsided 81-7 defeat.

Check out the 3rd annual Stars and Pipes Demolition Derby in Casper. Stars and Pipes say their derbies are “the biggest, fastest and most hard hitting in the the state.” Gates open at 4 p.m. and the show starts at 6 p.m. Visit their Facebook page for more information.
River of Life Art Show - River of Life Church, 2955 East 2nd Street, Casper
Friday 6 p.m. - Sunday 2 p.m.
Kingdom Creatives is hosting an art show called the “River of Life Installation Immersion Experience” on Friday from 6-9 p.m., Saturday 4-9 p.m. and Sunday 12-2 p.m. Enjoy a walk through “the river” and experience local artists’ work.
Audition for “The Nutcracker” - Rising Star Tumbling and Dance Studio, 601 Southeast Wyoming Boulevard, Casper
Saturday, 10:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Central Wyoming dance students are invited to audition for Casper’s 3rd annual production of The Nutcracker. Dancers must be between the ages of 5 and 18 and in grades K-12 to audition. With over 150 roles available, all auditionees are guaranteed a role. Experience required for each role varies and the descriptions along with more audition information can be found here.
