CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Laramie County Community College “For the Love of the Arts” auction and gala will take place Friday September 8th. The gala is a live ticketed event that includes an evening of hors d’oeuvres, local wine and beer, and live jazz from the band “The Thistle Tones.”

There will also be a silent auction happening online as well, but a selection of the art will be on display for attendees to view in person.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the communication and creative arts pathway endowment at the LCCC foundation.

“The money that we raise goes to a foundation line that we can use to do all kinds of wonderful things for our students. If an art instructor says ‘hey it’s be great if we had this piece of equipment,’ with that foundation line, we can actually use that to get those things so we can do new and exciting things with our students,” said J O’Brien, Communication and Creative Arts Pathway Coordinator at LCCC.

The event will take place Friday September 8th from 6-9pm at the Surbrugg Prentice auditorium on LCCC’s campus. For more information or to purchase tickets, go to LCCC’s website.
