Casper Christian puts on show in their first home win of the season.

CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - High School Football Week 1 mostly wrapped up on Friday, but there were still a couple of games left to be played on Saturday. One of those games featured Casper Christian, the Oil City’s 6 man team as they hosted Burlington in their first home game of the year.

It didn’t take long for the Mountaineers to get on the board, on their first drive it took a strong run from William Hubert who powered into the end zone to get the scoring started. It didn’t stop there for Casper Christian, they forced a turnover on downs and were looking to score again.

This time, they took a shot deep down the field as Timothy Hubert found Jay Kull for another Mountaineer touchdown and they were up 16-0 early. Burlington would answer back to bring the game within 10, but the scoring just did not stop for Casper Christian.

They went back to the air and this time it was a short pass to Gideon Howe in the flats, as he found his first touch down of the day. The passing game seemed unstoppable for the Mountaineers, as Tim Hubert aired it out one more time to Zane Kaiser and that put the game out of reach.

Casper Christian won in their first home game with a final score of 30-20.
