CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - We are in for a wet Labor Day weekend for parts of the cowboy state, especially Sunday-Monday. But first taking a look at conditions for tonight. Temperatures for tonight will be mild for many locations across Wyoming. Temperatures east of the Laramie range will be into the 60s, which is quite warm for this time of year. Elsewhere we will fall into the 50s. If headed to Northwest Wyoming, you may need a jacket as temperatures will be into the 40s.

We are in for another chance of showers and thunderstorms as we head into Sunday. In fact some areas in western Wyoming may see a few strong storms develop during the afternoon with some gusty winds and small hail possible. Storms will be more likely during the afternoon and evening hours on Sunday. We could also have some very heavy rain and localized flooding issues into Western Wyoming as well west of the Continental Divide.

Cheyenne Extended Forecast - Showers and storms will be in the forecast as we continue through the Labor Day Weekend. We do catch a break from the rain, with only slight chances of rain by the end of the work week. We will see a brief drop in temperatures before we return to near normal temperatures. Low temperatures will be near normal as well.

Casper Extended Forecast - Rain chances hang around for the area for the remainder of the Labor Day holiday weekend. We do see the potential for some strong gusty winds for Monday. Winds could gust up to 40 mph at times. We will see beautiful weather for the remainder of the extended forecast period, with plenty of sunshine in the forecast. We will see a brief cool down before we see temperatures return to near normal for this time of year.
