MILLS, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Of the many schools starting back this week, a very unique school had it’s first day of operation on Monday. Why’s it unique? It’s the first charter school in it’s area.

The Wyoming Classical Academy had their first day of school on Monday. The school is geared towards elementary-aged students. Though most of the 240-plus students are from Mills, the academy tells us they do have a few students from other parts of Natrona County, as well. Just like public schools, they offer everything from math and history to music and art. And though their school year just started, they say it’s not too late to enroll your child, if interested.

(Editor note: Other cities with charter schools include Cheyenne, Laramie, and Riverton)
