CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now/PRESS RELEASE) - Two Casper men were found dead after an apparent murder-suicide on Friday.

According to a press release from the Natrona County Sheriff’s Office, just after 5 p.m., officers were responding to a report of a shooting in the 4700 block of Boles Road. After arriving, deputies found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. On-site EMS personnel soon determined the men dead at the scene.

The victim was identified as 58-year-old Stephen Skaj of Casper and the suspect as 33-year-old Ryan Rosty of Casper.

Through their investigation, Natrona County Sheriff’s investigators learned that a physical altercation between Rosty and Skaj led to the shooting. After the fight, Skaj began walking away from Rosty. At that point, Rosty shot Skaj before shooting himself.

The fight and shooting were witnessed, and the physical evidence on scene was consistent with the witness’ statement.
