CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - As week 0 of college football is upon us I am sure all of you cowboy faithful at home are counting down to next Saturday.

The players are just as excited, but when we talked to them at media day, whenever we brought up week one, they all talked about you.

The relationship this state has with Cowboy Football is special and this season cannot come soon enough.

“At Wyoming it’s everyone is all in,” Quarterback Andrew Peasley said. “I think it’s really special for us players because we get to feel that every Saturday when we play at home and really on away games, when we played at the bowl game, we had a lot of fans come out. I think that’s just special and that’s what Wyoming’s all about.”

A couple of homegrown Wyoming talents also had a unique way of looking at how much the team means to the state of Wyoming.

“Wyoming fans are the best fans in the business and the more we have here the more energy we have,” Central High alum, Andrew Johnson, said. “We always love playing for them. Being a local kid, a Wyoming kid, one that came to all these games and were part of the fan base. Now being on the other side, it’s just one of the most important things for us.

“This one Wyoming and one university and one state mindset,” Laramie High product, Frank Crum, said. “When it’s snowing out we do appreciate people when they are in the stands weathering it with us and enjoying this great game of football. We hope to see you at Texas Tech and go Pokes.”
