Frank Crum on the importance of the Wyoming Linemen
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Coach Bohl has talked extensively about how proud he is of the depth the Cowboys have in the trenches.
Who better to speak on that than hometown favorite and offensive line veteran Frank Crum.
“Our success is only the beggining of other guys success on the team, right?” Crum said. “The Quarterback or the running back can’t do anything without us doing our job first.”
That showed last season, the Cowboys O-Line ranked 3rd in the Mountain West and 30th in the nation last season in sacks allowed with 1.46 per game. The run game was protected too, they also ranked 3rd in the Mountain West and 25th nationally in tackles for loss per game at 4.46.
“We take a lot of pride in doing our job. Definitely a tough mentality, a mentality to finish each play through the echo of the whistle. But yeah man, Coach Bohl has taken a lot of developmental steps in guys like me and Jordan Betagnole, and Cole Godbout. Guys who were probably overlooked and he has dedicated a lot of resources to us to develop us into who we are now,” Crum said.
