Hot Days Ahead
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - We’ve got a steady weather pattern for the next few days. We’re under a high pressure system that will keep the summer temperatures around for a while.

Today’s highs are going to be warm and in the 90s for most of the area and triple digits in a few places.

For our rain this month we’ve had some nice dry days but that hasn’t gotten us much closer to normal. We’re still 2 inches over the normal rainfall amount for August so far. With more rain potentially on the way this weekend, we could see that number get even higher.

For our extended forecasts, the summer heat will be around for both Cheyenne and Casper this and next week. In Cheyenne we might not see the 90s this week but Today, Friday, and Saturday will get us very close to it. Storms will try to move in Sunday and stick around next week to hopefully give us some rain cooled air and bring that heat down.
For Casper, unfortunately we will be seeing the 90s and very sunny skies for the end of our week. We’ll have a chance and a few stray showers later into the weekend that will try to cool us down but that heat is stubborn and will try to stick around through next week.
