Stormy Weather Pattern Sticking Around
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Taking a look around the area this evening we could still see some storms pop on up but the main severe threat has diminished for now. Still we should be ready for more active weather this evening just in case. Our lows this evening will be around average even with the rain and clouds as we’ll be in the mid 60s for most places around the state.

For tomorrow’s highs things will be much cooler for us and they will only get colder. The summer heat will move east through this week and into the weekend.

Looking at our extended forecasts, Cheyenne has daily storm chances as moisture flows into the Cowboy State and our warm temperatures make the atmosphere unstable. Storms will bring a lot of heavy rain over the week ahead which is why we have a Flood Watch from the National Weather Service. Take extra care while driving and if the road is covered in water, remember the rhyme, “turn around, don’t drown” as roads covered with water may look passable but could be covered in more water than is visible. Wet roads are also slippery as we all know so be careful out there folks.
In Casper, things are going to be less wet for us but we’ll still have rain chances all week long. Our best storm chances move through Wednesday and later into the weekend and next week. We could still see showers popping up here and there throughout the week but they’ll likely be very isolated and not everyone will see the rain. Much cooler temperatures are coming later in the week for both Casper and Cheyenne though as we’ll all see 60 degree highs over the weekend.
