Storms Possible Today, Summer Heat This Weekend
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - We have a marginal risk of severe weather today, mainly in the eastern portions of Wyoming. These storms could bring some heavy rain, a gust of wind or two, and the strongest of storms could bring some hail with them. The most favorable environment is near the Chugwater area but storms could develop elsewhere as well. The storms will move southeast and could bring rain and thunder to Cheyenne this evening so be prepared for rain just in case if you are headed to Cheyenne Frontier days tonight.

For those of us headed out tonight around the area, it’ll be a cool evening with the rain chance lingering around, mainly in eastern Wyoming. Most of Wyoming will be around average for our lows with mid to lower 50s across the state and cooler on the western edge.

Summer will make it’s return though as mid to upper 90s make their return tomorrow and while Cheyenne and the western edge of Wyoming won’t get as warm, Riverton, Thermopolis, and Worland will all see the upper 90s.

For our extended forecasts, starting with Cheyenne, if you’re headed to CFD tonight or next week, pack an umbrella and some cool drinks as rain is possible this evening and more likely Monday and Tuesday. Even with the rain though, things will be hot at we’re going to be in the 90s or very close to it all week long and the sun will just make things warmer.
In Casper, some spot showers are possible today, but summer is really going to move in on Sunday and Monday. Upper 90s are expected along with plenty of sun making things even warmer out there so be prepared for summer heat to really move in and take extra care to stay cool and stay hydrated.
