Prep Athlete of the Week: Bradley Feezer, Post 6
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - They say nobody’s perfect, but Bradley Feezer was just that last Tuesday against the Casper Oilers.
The future Nebraska Cornhusker went 21 up, 21 down to help Post 6 grab a 10-0 victory, and put on one of the more memorable performances in club history. Despite the outcome, Feezer surprisingly didn’t think things were really clicking for him before the game.
“I didn’t have the greatest bullpen or pregame, so I was really frustrated going into the game. You know, I was just looking to go out there and put up a good performance for our guys, win a conference game. That’s all you could wish for when you go up on the mound, and I think we got the job done,” Feezer said.
Getting the job done is quite the understatement. Feezer had 8 K’s on 91 pitches in his immaculate outing; he previously had a no hitter on his resume but now adds perhaps the most impressive achievement in baseball to that list.
Feezer said he didn’t realize what he was on track to accomplish until the last couple innings, and above all else felt relieved once he sealed the deal.
“Thank the Lord it’s over [I was thinking]. Yeah, it’s just a huge sigh of relief. A lot of emotions, of course excitement, but also it’s my senior year, it’s senior night [Monday night]. My last time playing on this field, so it’s kind of a surreal moment to where we’ve come,” Feezer said.
Congratulations to Bradley Feezer on completing one of the most elusive feats in sports.
