CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Wyoming wildlife is about to make another appearance on national TV.
National Geographic’s TV show, “Running Wild with Bear Grylls: The Challenge,” is set to debut two episodes set in Wyoming.
The first episode will premiere Sunday, July 9 at 7 p.m. and guest stars Bradley Cooper as he and Grylls take on the rugged canyons of the Wyoming Basin.
Bear teaches Bradley mountaineering rope skills to traverse a series of towering ravines and how to use a grappling hook gun, while the two spend one night hanging on the side of a cliff and endure a harsh winter snowstorm.
The following episode will air Sunday, August 27 with guest star Tatiana Maslany who will be trudging with Grylls into the Laramie Mountains. Bear challenges Tatiana to conquer massive cliff rappels, menacingly icy cliffs, and a zero-degree cold shock to the body.
Film Casper, a division of Visit Casper, recently hosted the filming of the two episodes.
“We were thrilled to be able to assist with the filming of these high-caliber episodes,” said Tyler Daugherty, CEO of Visit Casper. “These types of projects allow us to showcase our region in a new way, while also introducing Central Wyoming to a national audience.
