Thunderstorms Possible Again Today
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Another day of active weather is possible for Wyoming today. We have a slight risk (2/5) today and storms could bring heavy rain, strong winds, hail, and as storms develop, a tornado could be possible with a few of them as the environment is favorable for storm development. Storms could fire up pretty quick as the evening goes on but storm development will be limited by how much sun we get and our temperatures. The more sunshine we get through our afternoon, the more storms can develop.
For the Futurecast, scattered storms will be forming around 6:00 PM and likely earlier in the evening and they’ll be moving east through the area. Casper, Cheyenne , and places like Sheridan could all see some stormy weather into the evening. Be prepared for these storms and their hazards they bring into the evening and night tonight.
Once the storms pass, we’ll return to normal lows around the area with mid to lower 50s and upper 40s around the area. Our lows for the next few days will be hovering around the same but next week will bring warmer temperatures.
For our highs tomorrow, mostly 70s across the area for a nice and comfortable day tomorrow as we stay below our average summer temperatures but warmer air will move in next week and we’ll see temperatures reach 90 again.
For our extended forecasts, in Cheyenne we have storms likely for the rest of the week through the weekend but once we get into the new week, things will be nice and dry for us and we’ll warm back up into the upper 80s.
In Casper, daily rain and storm chances will stick around through the week and persist into next week but next week will be warmer for us as we see the return of 90 degree weather on Tuesday.
