CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Business and Wyoming don’t sound like they go together but the Wyoming Business Alliance is changing that with a sound of their own: a podcast.

The WBA announced the release of their new podcast ‘Business from the Basement.’

Hosted by WBA President Cindy DeLancey, the podcast will feature discussions with business leaders in Wyoming from all walks of life delving into important issues that affect the businesses and people of Wyoming.

“We created the podcast as a way to connect communities and businesses to important information on timely and relevant topics, and to discuss innovative ideas and solutions,” according to a press release from the WBA.

The first episode of the Podcast, “CEO of Wyoming, Governor Mark Gordon,” aired on June 16. In this episode, Governor Gordon offered insight on a wide range of important issues including mental health, entrepreneurship, the Wyoming Innovation Partnership, the Reimagining Delivery of Education, regulatory reform and more.

“Governor Gordon is not only an exceptional governor, he’s also an exceptional businessman,” said DeLancey. “We are honored to have him join us and we felt it was appropriate to kick off our podcast with him as our first guest.”

The name of the podcast is a tribute to a place where many successful businesses get their start: a basement or garage. The name also recognizes the physical space where the WBA sound studio is located, the basement of the Reiman Corp headquarters in Cheyenne.

Episode 1 of ‘Business from the Basement’ and all future episodes are available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts, or by visiting here.

The WBA is also actively exploring other leaders in Wyoming to join as guests on future episodes of the podcast. To nominate someone to be a guest, a short nomination form can be found here.

The WBA serves as a business advocate for the state with the mission of promoting and advocating for a growing economy by connecting business leaders from across Wyoming, representing business interests and issues, and partnering with key business organizations and trade associations.
