CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - A very warm day today around the area with the eastern edge of Wyoming and Nebraska reaching 90 for highs here today. Winds through the area should help us keep cool but it’s important to stay hydrated and maybe keep a fan on. Also there is a large difference in temperatures when you compare Wheatland to Yellowstone. A 40 degree difference is quite a change.

For our extended forecast both in Cheyenne and Casper we can expect scattered showers and storms coming for the end of our week. Some storms on Friday will bring the risk of severe weather so we should be prepared in case there is severe weather forecast for our area. For now though, it’s still uncertain how much the risk of severe weather will be on Friday so we’ll monitor the conditions as Friday approaches. Wednesday and Thursday likely won’t bring severe weather into the area but we still should be ready for some stronger storms through those days. Again, we’ll keep you up to date on those storms and any more that move through the area. After our stormy end to the week, it’ll be dry, sunny, and warm for both Cheyenne and Casper so we can continue to enjoy our summer.
