Casper MPO seeking public input on potential project

The Casper Area Metro Planning Organization has completed a study of possible improvements, and are now asking the public for comments on it’s rough draft.

CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The Casper Area Metro Planning Organization has completed a study of possible improvements, and are now asking the public for comments on it’s rough draft.

The MPO has identified transportation improvements that could be made on Highway 20-26... from the 1st Street bridge that goes over the North Platte River... to the West Belt Loop in the city of Mills.

The draft is called the Western Gateway Corridor study. It’s goal is to make that stretch of highway more scenic to visitors.

Beth Andress with the Casper Area MPO, says “Mills and Casper requested this study from the Casper Area MPO, to help improve both the visual aspects of the corridor, as well as the walking... And other transportation aspects of that corridor. This is really the first road everyone comes from... From the airport when you’re bringing people in from out of town... That corridor is the first thing they see... And their first impressions of our community.”
