Lummis speaks on Veteran benefits after Fiscal Responsibility Act
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Now that the Fiscal Responsibility Act has been voted upon and passed, many Wyomingite Veterans are concerned about how this might affect them.
We reached out to our U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis, who stated that even though she voted against the bill.
Wyoming Veterans will remain unaffected by the cuts in their benefits and federal programs.
She says in a quote,
“The legislation includes an increase in VA funding, and Veterans are exempt from the work requirements included in the reforms to welfare programs. If any wyoming Veteran has concerns about their benefits, I encourage them to reach out to my office, and one of my skilled caseworkers will be able to assist them,” said Lummis.
Lummis continues that if any veterans have concerns about their benefits and programs, she wants to assure them that their benefits are safe.
