CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Dust off those fishing rods.

This Saturday, Wyoming Game & Fish is inviting all of Wyoming to participate in ‘Free Fishing Day.’

Each year Game & Fish designates the first Saturday of National Boating and Fishing Week as a free fishing day when anyone can cast their lines in Wyoming — Wind River Reservation and Yellowstone National Park excluded  —  without a fishing license.

All fishing regulations, creel and size limits, gear restrictions and stream closures remain in effect. Anglers can review the 2023 Fishing Regulations online before heading out and plan their trips with the interactive fishing guide.

Many locations are even offering free poles, lunch and other equipment to participants. To sweeten the deal even further, some places are also hosting free educational courses for kids.
