Stormy Memorial Day
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Starting off we already have strong thunderstorms in the area as of 2:30 PM today. Be prepared for these storms to bring heavy rain, strong gusts of wind, and possible hail. We’ll keep you updated on KGWN in the event of any severe weather. These storms will likely move out of our area in the late afternoon and early evening.

The strongest storms will be to our east however as the risk of severe weather is off to the east just over the Nebraska border. With how quick the storms pop up, be prepared for potentially strong storms to move in quick.

As we get into tonight and tomorrow, we could see some more scattered showers. Tonight will get us down to the upper 40s and 50s and tomorrow will warm us up a bit but not too warm as we stay in the 70s and 80s

For our extended forecast, Cheyenne will see scattered showers and storms all week long with Thursday and Friday being our best chance of storms. Some storms may be strong so stay aware of the latest forecast. Storms could also pop up quick much like we saw today.
For Casper, a bit on the drier side but a stray shower or two could move through. On Thursday and Friday however, more storms move on in and that will be our best chance of storms as we make our way through the week. As always, we’ll keep you up to date on any changes in our weather. For now, have a nice memorial day and stay safe.
