CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - As people may know, the journey into parenthood isn’t an easy one; it’s fraught with late nights, tears, and early mornings.

But there are certain milestones that make it all worth it, and today was one of them.

The students of South High School, along with some very proud families and friends, celebrated their favorite high schoolers’ graduation.

The class of 2023 South High crossed the field at Frontier Park on Friday to sit among the many students who have finished their 13-year school careers.

Crowds roared at the graduates’ entrance and rang bells to officiate the sense of accomplishment and completion.

Cold but resilient, parents, loved ones, and grandparents watched in quiet pride through choked tears at the children they once knew.

These children now all grown up and about to head off into the next chapter of their lives.

The almost rained-out ceremony was topped with a moment of silence and the national anthem.

It was then followed by speeches by the South High Principal and officials, congratulating their students for their hard-fought victory, efforts, and triumph in attaining their diplomas.

”I am so proud; I’ve been crying all day, curling her hair, getting her ready, crying. I’m so proud of her, so very proud of her,” said Laci Watters, Mom of Chevelle Lallak- South High graduate.

This ceremony concluded the official high school graduations for the year.

They were proceeded by Central and East earlier today.
